I’m interested in preserving New Zealand’s gang history so if anyone has got any suitable photos of the good old days, please flick me a copy (either electronically or hardcopy).

Here’s a couple of pics from a “shadow patrol” in the late eighties when we were on tour with the Auckland 61’s who were on their way to a funeral in Hastings. They had a quick refreshment stop in Tirau. “Trophy John” is about to mount his bike, while another member gives us a friendly wave.

Having a word with “Rockjaw” and “Link” outside the Hastings pad. “Link” was fatally stabbed by another Highway member at their Auckland clubhouse in 2003.

An article from the New Zealand Herald Newspaper from 1960, before the Angels received their official charter.

A calling card of the Galgoffa MC. They were formed in Wanganui in 1975 and became Hells Angel prospects in 1989, gaining their colours in 1992..

A selection of Head Hunters patches showing how they changed over the years.

A 1982 invite to the first anniversary party for the North Shore chapter of the Highway 61 MC.

A group of Auckland Mobsters on their way to a National Convention in Wellington in the late eighties.

One gangs collection of stolen patches, “scalped” (forcibly taken) from some of their rivals.

A Hells Angels party invite, celebrating three members achieving their ten year anniversaries.

A couple of “Blacks” (Black Power members) going for a stroll in the late eighties.

An invite to the Timaru RK’s 20th anniversary party in 1999.
